“The Blood Still Speaks!”

Believers, have you considered that Bible scripture is full of references to a spiritual court system? God is identified as an exalted ruler, a judge sitting on a throne, high and lifted up in Isaiah chapter 6 and verse 1. The hosts of Heaven bear witness and are charged with executing God’s judgement and directives.

1 Peter chapter 5 and verse 8 informs: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”

Satan is identified as an adversary, the Accuser of the brethren seeking whom to kill, steal, and destroy. The word adversary is the Greek word antidikos which translates “one who brings a lawsuit.” Jesus, as our Lord and Savior, is known as our Mediator, and His blood still speaks or “testifies” for us before God. The Bible contains many verses which recount what appears to be a common occurrence or mode of operation whereas hearings are taking place in heavenly proceedings regarding the souls of men:

“Now there was a day when the sons of God (angels) came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan (adversary, accuser) also came among them. The Lord said to Satan, “From where have you come?” Then Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming around on the earth and from walking around on it.”  Job 1:6-7 AMP

“Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom (dominion, reign) of our God, and the authority of His Christ have come; for the accuser of our [believing] brothers and sisters has been thrown down [at last], he who accuses them and keeps bringing charges [of sinful behavior] against them before our God day and night. “ Revelations 12:10 AMP

“Then the guiding angel showed me Joshua the high priest [representing disobedient, sinful Israel] standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at Joshua’s right hand to be his adversary and to accuse him. And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! Even the Lord, who [now and ever] has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is this not a log snatched and rescued from the fire?” Zechariah 3:1-2 AMP

Jesus who robed himself in a flesh suit to take on the sins of man has paid the ultimate price, or ransom, or fine as the Lamb who was slain before the foundations of the world were established. There is no sacrifice, nor tithe by man, nor priestly intercession which could fully atone for our sins in perpetuity. Salvation can not be bought. Jesus’ completed work on the cross of Calvary affords believers the very gift of salvation:

“…and [so that you will begin to know] what the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His [active, spiritual] power is in us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of His mighty strength which He produced in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion [whether angelic or human], and [far above] every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and world but also in the one to come. And He put all things [in every realm] in subjection under Christ’s feet, and appointed Him as [supreme and authoritative] head over all things in the church…” Ephesians 1:19-22 AMP

We have come to understand that our souls are comprised of the desires and opinions of our mind, will, and emotions. Satan and his cohorts monitor, tempt, and beguile us with the desires of our very souls. The enemy of our souls does not make us do anything, he merely offers suggestions based on observations of our individual and generational patterns.

As a consequence of the fall of man after Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, sin entered the earth, and man is born with a sinful nature. A sin is ultimately whenever one falls short of the mark or violates a law, principle, commandment, or covenant of God. Thesaurus.com describes the word violate in this way:  break, disobey, infringe, contravene, transgress, breach, and disregard; these terms are used to describe breaking a law, rule, or agreement. As consecrated and submitted believers we are relieved, encouraged, and excited to know that the blood of Jesus will silence every accusation of our adversary, Satan, whenever he approaches God’s throne to accuse us, night and day.

As we endeavor to walk submitted to Elohim, we should confess our sins to God and to one another, for He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We now operate under the endless order of Melchizedek with Jesus as the High Priest Forever and no longer require a human intercessor which was under Levitical law. We must know that we can approach Our Father in Heaven as the veil between Heaven and earth was ripped with Jesus’ sacrifice and by His precious blood. Hallelujah, the blood still speaks!
