“What Should My Walk Look Like?

Dear Believer, I pray that this day finds you seated in Christ, submitted to and listening to God.

We  are encouraged to remain steadfast, to sustain continual repentance as we walk in flesh and spirit, to increase our faithfulness, and to trust in the Lord.  If we determine that our present walk is not yielded and acceptable to our God in Heaven, then what should be done to rectify this and to move forward effectively?

There are many biblical verses which encourage and offer instruction in living a transformed life as God’s presence abides with us, and we with Him. Let us consider the Book of Galatians authored by the Apostle Paul to the churches in Galatia around A. D. 48-49:

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature together with its passions and appetites. If we live by the Spirit, we must also walk by the Spirit.”  Galatians 5:22-25 [AMP]

  • LOVE-unselfish concern for others
  • JOY-with cheerfulness in conversation and countenance
  • PEACE-with God; temperament and behavior towards others
  • PATIENCE- how we act; being content, bearing grievances and injuries
  • KINDNESS-easy to be in community
  • GOODNESS-kindness to others even when warranty
  • FAITHFULNESS-honesty, fidelity based on promises, covenants, and agreements
  • GENTLENESS-calm and not readily provoked
  • SELF-CONTROL-moderated in consumptions of life

Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you.
